With 11 original broadcast shows and more in development, Sooke now has a vibrant community station that’s locally rooted, artist-powered, and full of the people, stories, and sounds that make this place special.
Here’s just a taste of what’s on air:
🎧 Almost There – Host Sue Elrington keeps you company from 4:00–5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with Sooke traffic updates, community happenings, and warm, witty storytelling straight from her balcony.
🎧 Aroundabout Sooke – Mondays at 6:00 pm, Coleen and Mark take their dog Hanzō for a walk through Sooke’s trails and conversations.
🎧 Lindy’s Flight Plan – Thursday nights, 9:30–11:30 pm, DJ Schuyler Lindberg sends you skyward with an eclectic mix of human-powered music.
🎧 Public Hearing! – Friday evenings, 8:00–10:00 pm, DJ Natty drops everything from funk to dub and beyond — no genre is safe.
🎧 The Dive, Future Ecologies, Mission Transmission, Sweet Bitters, The Psychedelic Basement, The Political Animal, The Sounds of Sooke — and more are all waiting for your ears. You can find our full schedule at SOOKE.LIVE, and we’re live 24/7.

The Road to the Festival Starts Here
To get Sooke hyped for the 2025 Sooke Music & Art Festival (August 2/8/9 at Fred Milne Park), SOOKE.LIVE is launching a brand-new segment:
🎙 Road to the Festival — airing every Friday at 5:30 pm, right after “Almost There.”
Each week starting May 16, we’ll spotlight one of the incredible humans behind the festival — organizers, artists, and music lovers — followed by a curated playlist featuring that week’s musical guest.
🎟️ Want free tickets? Enter to win VIP passes and other festival goodies by heading to our Facebook page and commenting with the name of that week’s featured artist. Enter every week — the winner will be drawn live on August 5 during “Almost There.”
But Wait — Why Not FM?
Great question. Here’s the short answer:
🎙️ FM is expensive, highly regulated, and takes years to launch. The process includes applying for a broadcast license from the CRTC, proving our programming capacity and community support, and competing for limited frequencies.
That said — we’re working on it. Your continued support helps us build the case for an eventual FM station. Hope springs eternal.
In the meantime, SOOKE.LIVE is easy to stream:
📱 Use RadioGarden (Android) or TuneIn (Apple)
🚗 Use a Bluetooth/FM adapter to listen in your car
🖥️ Add SOOKE.LIVE to your home screen
🔊 Connect via any Bluetooth speaker!
