Natty (The Night Mayor) has grown his following and dance floor sensibility with a combo of unwavering support for his local scene and relentless listening sessions, promoting shows and festivals and grooving to other DJs for the past 20 years. Natty is a favourite amongst dancers and his fellow artists with his immaculate selections and positive energy behind the decks, creating profound experiences that toy with irresistible tension and unpredictable release. At times departing from the 4/4 foundation of his first love of house music he keeps his sets diverse, showcasing many aspects (and tempos) of dance music, old and new. Natty has played an integral role using his skills as a commercial real estate broker to help venues secure spaces for creating music and dancing in the city of Victoria, and was recently dubbed by a local dj and venue operator as “the Night Mayor”. Accepting of his newly gifted title, The Night Mayor has a new monthly residency at the Downbeat Event Centre in Victoria, going into its 5th month, called Public Hearing! showcasing local and out of town talent with a focus on good times on the dance floor.
